UK Stampers Tri-Colour challenge

Over on UK Stampers we've got a little competition which has been sponsored by The Craft Room.  I figured I'd join in, especially as I saw the above swatch (the three colours we have to use) and knew exactly what I wanted to do.  The colours themselves said "clean and simple", so that's what I've stuck to.

I've used Cat's Eye chalk inks in Azurite, Ice Jade and Lime Pastel, plus a brown watercolour pencil for the tree trunks.  I've used torn or cut paper to make stencils and masks, and just sponged the inks over the card.  Lastly, the greeting has been stamped using one of Papermania's  Clare Curd Collection stamps.

That's it, nice and simple!

Flo's finished CJ...

Well, I did say I'd put up a pic of her page when I'd done it.  I can't put up pictures of the whole thing because I didn't take photos of the other pages.  I believe she's going to put them up on her blog when she gets a chance.

So, here is the photograph of my page...

I've elected to show a picture of it after I'd cut it in two and re-cut the holes for the BIA holes.

So, what did I do?  first up, Flo's CJ came with the door in the stonework, one open, and one closed.  We had an option to use either one, or both.  I did a search on the web for quotes about doors (they are often inspirational, and in this case, quite inspired!) and came up with this one "Listen, there's a hell of a universe next door - let's go!" by E.E. Cummings.  Knowing my love of medieval everything, this just appealed to me, particularly in our current world and being aware of how much us re-enactors are into still having our mod cons (a couple of us carry around gas fridges to events!  LOL) it kind of went without saying what I was going to do.  Took me a while to get to this point though, LOL!

So, my two medieval ladies were stamped first using Memento black, and then masked using post it notes.  I followed this up with stamping and masking the two doorways.  Well, two pages, just HAD to use both stamps!  I then stamped the floor - I have a fab stamp of crazy paving.  Daft me though didn't carry it through the open door so I wound up doing that manually later... I think I worked it well though.  After that, I masked the edge of the floor off and stamped the stonework.  The stamp I used for that is pretty small, so I'm going to have a hunt and see if I can't find a decent sized background stamp that'll do the job much quicker in future.

Once I'd done that I cut out the open door way and stamped the shoes, bags and car into the "universe next door", and tried to create a bit of a landscape. I was rather constrained by the stamps I had, but I hope I achieved the end result, even if it's not perfect...

Lastly, the whole lot was coloured using copics.  As you can see, most of it was done using the grey tones W1-W7 and black 100, but I also used the skintones, and a pale orangey colour plus varieties of blue and green.  After I'd finished the main work I cut it in two, put the holes in, and then went round the edge with Black Soot DI to just take the cleaness off it.  I also printed the quote, cut it out, stuck it down and added some shadow using copics.

I personnally love the end result, and I know Flo loved it (cos she said so on UKStampers - hun, you are SO welcome, it was fun to do!).  I do look at it now and see where it could have been improved - the light coming through the open door should leave a defined shadow where the wall blocks the light coming in, but that is just something I've now learned and can improve on for next time!

So, when is the next one starting.......... ??

WOYWW 80 - the oh cr*p one

Here we are again, WOYWWing with the world.  For more info, for those completely clueless as to what I've just said, go to Julia's place to find out exactly what I'm on about.

Me - here's my desk.  A hive of industry.  Quite literally, seeing as there's a load of scrap lead frame (that's lead sounding leed not lead sounding led) which I was originally going to use to make a Christmas decoration for the competition at work.  Except that I'm not now, as the deadline is today and we had panto last night and and and.... well, time just ran out on me.

Hence the oh cr*p in the title.  I've not written a single Christmas card and posted it yet.  Actually, that's a lie, cos I did the one I needed to send to Oz.  But otherwise? Nada.

The other major item on my desk is the bunting from the bunting swap.  Yay and thrice yay!  I will put up a photo once I've strung it all and found a good home for it.

Never let it be said, though, that I don't do any crafting.  This week I've just finished and posted my decorations for the Christmas Decoration swap on UK Stampers.  I did five in total, one in modern colours like immediately below, and four in the red and gold (further down).  I used Lord TH's alcohol inks to colour (can't remember which ones for the mo, but can find them if anyone is really that interested!), Inkadinkado and Habico stamps, Gold Krylon and clear UTEE.  Simples!

Yipes!  Gotta run - late for work..... Catch you on the hop!

WOYWW #75 – the post-illness one.

Firstly, this week I’d like to welcome a couple of new followers - Debs H and Scrapcollectr - to my blog. You’re nutters, but most welcome nonetheless… ROFL.

Yay – last week I managed to get around EVERYONE – bar the one that linked herself straight back to the WOYWW page (LOL) and the one that had nothing against it (133, I think?). This is probably going to be a one-off – I was at home all week and was able to plug away, unlike a normal week! Health wise things are picking up around here – though I think it would be quicker if I could remember to take my antibiotics. Still a little muzzy/light headed though!

Another week has flown by and we are once again surfing the blogs of the world in the quest to share the state of our desk, all courtesy of our tour conductor extraordinaire, Ms Julia Dunnit. Visit her blog The Stamping Ground to find out more, and take yourself on a trip that will delight, amuse, inspire and occasionally dismay you. It’s a fab opportunity to be supportive, enjoy a good read and get/give tips amongst a new and amazing circle of friends we never knew were out there….

My desk this week – once again, little difference. There’s no CJ, for a start – read more about that HERE (huzzah, I say!). There’s a couple of little items there – some cheapo ribbon I picked up that just shouted Christmas Cards to me, a sheet of fab see-through stamps that fell into my basket on Friday, much to Julia’s Shopkeeper Gal’s amusement, and a little cross-stitch/beaded number (ok, to be exact, it’s a Mill Hill Charmed Mitten) that is needing a hanger attached so it can go on the Crimble Tree….

In my WOYWW easel you will also see my entry for this week’s Sketch Saturday – for a better pic and the Ingredients, go HERE.

Things are not going quite so well on the A Level front. Mojo in that area is almost non-existent. I know that being poorly hasn’t helped, but I’m finding the distance learning a real struggle, especially as I’ve only heard from my course tutor twice, and the second time I had to contact her! She doesn’t seem particularly interested in being supportive, if I was a course tutor and had an email from a student saying that they were struggling, I’d be on the phone to them, not send an email saying never mind, plenty of time, get your TMA (tutor marked assignments) in when you can and we’ll go from there. I shall be complaining to Oxford Open Learning. I hope to get my head back down to the studies this week, and maybe the light will dawn and I’ll understand what the heck is expected of me.

Still, enough moaning! Enjoy your surfing, hope to see you guys back round here soon!

Done it at last!!!!

Another WOOHOO from me – I’ve finally despatched that CJ that has been lurking shamefully on my desk for the last couple of months! YAY!!!

I always had it in mind what I wanted to do – Alison wanted us to use a cobweb stamp (shudder, I hate cobwebs, the real ones that is) but our pages were really to reflect something that meant home to us. When I read that, my mind was instantly drawn to the view from my childhood bedroom window. Urban (not city like the cityscape I used, but heigh ho, I wanted to reflect that it was London) but every May the Lilac outside my window would flower. Even now, I see them in other gardens and my mind is drawn back to home – where my Mum still lives, and has done since before I was born!

LH Page

RH Page

So, the Lilac stamp is Joanna Sheen, the cityscape is Crafty Individuals, though I gather it’s probably a royalty free image as a couple of other stamp companies have it too, and Big Ben is from Xelacrafts. The cobweb stamp is by a company I don’t know, though I’m sure that Alison would tell me if I asked. I added the hanging spider myself in pen.

Inks used are DI’s – Faded Jeans and Antique Paper. I also used Copics on the Lilacs, but can’t remember which ones (tut tut, silly me) though I DO recall one of them being V04! A touch of hologram EP over silver pigment ink for the spider’s web, and LOADS of masking….. hehehehehe.

The poem is by Komalik – the full version is way longer, but I think the first couple of lines sum it up beautifully. If you want to attach any meaning to the way I’ve put the words on the page, see them as the scent, wafting in the breeze…… lol.

Alison, I hope you like it, cos I had a ‘mare making it – between not having the right stamps, not having the right mojo, being ill, taking on board a ten yr old, and then finding my paper clay had - expired, shall we say? - it’s taken me a while to do this one, and not with the textural element I had hoped to give it. I’m pleased with the result though!

WOYWW 69 – the long wordy one.

Well! It’s that time of the week once more when we head off into the ether to snoop at everyone’s desks, courtesy of the Desk Discovery Diva, Delightful Mrs Dunnit. *did you like what I did there? Cool, eh? A little bit of alliteration never hurt anyone.* I’ve not been too good of late at getting around all the desks. I’m determined to rectify that this week, especially as we’re having a quiet (!) and inexpensive (ROFLMAO) weekend at home. Gardening. And swimming. We have Lil Miss B with us this weekend, and Friday sees her visiting a few local schools to see which one she likes best, ready to start there after half term (which is the last week in October, for our overseas readers). It will soon be upon us, that’s for sure!

I laughed at the inexpensive comment above because we were at Alexandra Palace (Ally Pally) for the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show (BSSBS) this weekend just gone, and now we have to live on bread and water for the next month. Or at least, baked beans on toast. My waistline thanks my crafting habit. Even Mr B got in on the act and hasn’t quite yet worked out where all his money went that day! More on Mr B in a mo – some of you that were there may have encountered him without even knowing it!

I met up with Jennie and Hels, and also Alison (aka CraftyTrog from UKSTampers, in the pic below.  I promise I'm not a giant really, just that Ali is quite petite). I got a couple of odd looks from folks, but I’m guessing that might have had something to do with my T-Shirt! See Julia, I did fly the flag after all, even if it wasn’t deely boppers! I even put the Stamping Ground blog address on the bottom under the WOYWW bit.  Mr B did comment that he wished I HAD worn the boppers, because then he’d be able to find me easily in the crowd. Normally he looks for the person wearing purple…. ROFLMAO.

So here, for your delight and delectation, is what is on my desk this week. Lots of crafting supplies.

Doesn’t look like much does it? No? That’s cos the rest of it is on the floor behind the desk….

That’s how you know you’ve overspent – when you start displaying it on the desk for the obligatory “here’s my stash haul from Ally Pally” shot, and discover that you’re probably not going to have room for a decent shot. Oops. I was good with it while we were there, but then I got home and the guilt started to set in. Bless Mr B – he said:

“did you have a good time?”
“yes”
“will you use the craft stuff you bought?”
“yes”
“will it enhance our crafting for time to come?”
“ye-es”
“Well stop feeling guilty about it then”

I love my man…… LOL

As I said before – some of you may have encountered him without knowing it. At lunchtime we were queuing for food in the Palm Court, and the flat screen telly was showing a Manchester City vs Chelsea football match. Now, Mr B is a Liverpool supporter, so what happened next was really funny. He was studying the telly intently, and then suddenly let out this really manly whoop of delight. Man City had scored! He immediately realised where he was (partly on account of the echo in the court, and partly because all conversation ceased, to be followed immediately by laughter on all sides) and clamped his hand over his mouth. Bless. Why did he cheer? Because he didn’t want Chelsea to win, and if they lost it meant that Chelsea were no longer unbeaten this season! LOL. All the ladies around us were most amused, apart from my mother in whose ear he had shrieked and darned near given her a heart attack!

We split up during the day to divide and conquer. Mr B and Mum sat in on a couple of demos downstairs, and I joined them for a demo by Barbara Gray of Clarity Stamps. I always try to go to her demos, because she’s so much fun. It’s like watching a cross between Graham Kerr (The Galloping Gourmet) and Marti Caine. Even Mr B commented on it.

“This lady must be popular”

“She is – what makes you say so though?”

“Well, this room was only three-quarters full for the last one, and now look”

Lo and behold, not only were all the chairs full, but there must have been about 50 people stood around the sides and back. It was like that all day too – I swung by the Clarity stand at 16.55, only to find Barbara like this:

I figured I should get a shot of Hels hard at work too (sorry Hels, I know you hate your picture being taken, but you did look as happy as Larry!) Tired but happy, eh?

Right – I’m off. Watch out for the girl in the T-Shirt!!!!

Bursting with Pride, and bunting....

Well, I said I'd be back to tell you about a card my..... gosh, need to find something to call her..... stepdaughter is the closest I can come up with but I'm not exactly married to her dad!  Anyway, on Saturday, Little Miss B had to make a thank you card for her Godparents for her birthday presents. Mr B went into school ultra early that morning, leaving me in charge, with strict instructions that there was to be no Wii-ing *rofl* until the card was done.

So we got up, got dressed, sat in the craft room and I asked her suitably leading questions as to exactly what she wanted to make - what did she want to put on it, what colours did she want to use etc etc.

Now, I need to point out that Lil Miss B had, up until this point, never used a rubber stamp, had no idea what EP is, and would not have known the difference between pigment and dye inks (she does now) although she certainly knew what bling is.  But we had a crash course in the different inks, and she tried several colourways on scrap paper till she found one she was happy with, she had a go at heat embossing and fell in love with it, and we had a quick lesson on the rule of thirds.

I have to say, she's a quick learner.  A super quick learner.  The only hiccup we had was the ole' depth perception one - you know, where you forget that there's so much more to the stamp you're holding than the wooden bit in your fingers, so you have to hold it higher or you get.... whoops.... new card please...

This is what the resulting effort looked like:

And I am as proud as punch of her and what she's done.  What really impressed me is that it's her own design - she wanted a border of flowers, this was what I found.  Ok, you can see where she's not skilled and we had a couple of blobby bits, and it's her third attempt after the other suffered the whoops I described.  But how cool is that card?

And more to point, she's achieved what Susan Raihala is trying to get folks to do on her Simplicity by Blossom blog - one layer, and one layer only.  Fabulous.  Oh - I forgot to mention, Lil Miss B turned 10 in July.....

The other thing I want to share with you is the bunting I made recently for a swap on UKSTampers.  I like them - I hope the recipients like them too!  I've only got these pics for now, the pictures of each flag individually all need tinkering with as I had to take the pictures in our kitchen, it's got a fluorescent light.... and well, I'm sure you get the idea.  So, for now, here's the two pictures of the whole lot:

If anyone is interested, I'm sure I can give you a more detailed breakdown of what I did.  One interesting one is the brown one with the silver D on it.  I mixed my own colour of EP for that - it has a subtle sheen of blue because I wanted a more steel colour than silver, and my pewter EP actually had flecks of gold in which I didn't want.

Anyway, I need to go and get on with the day job - TTFN!

WOYWW 64 - once more!

Well - here we are again!

Not a great deal to report this week, though here's a couple of shots of my desk.  One the bog standard "stand slightly to the right and try to fit it all in" and the other is of the desk to my right, where the PC sits and glares at me from time to time....

Last week I managed to get around to the grand total of 83 desks!  So this week I'm kind of going to start at 84 and work my way up.... roflmao.  As the number of participants is growing exponentially, I wonder if I'll ever make it to the end of the list....

And if you're feeling clueless, go and see Mrs Dunnit's blog where all will be revealed!  Be prepared to waste the rest of your week though!

Ok - here's my pics.... sorry the quality is a bit naff but the quality of the light last night wasn't brilliant, I figured I'd get this ready on Tuesday night because nowt will change in the next couple of hours!  Actual work on my desk includes some pennants for bunting for the UK Stampers swap, and a CJ that's doing the rounds at the mo, plus a load of new stash that I've managed to acquire lately.

OK - I'm off for my snoop around the work desks of the world.  If you see me on your travels - be sure to wave!

Clown CJ

Whoops.

I really should have blogged this a month ago. Anyway, the most recently completed CJ I did for the UKSTampers pick a stamp CJ was Linda's Clowns.

Nothing particularly exciting about what I did - the backgrounds had already been prepared for us to give the book continuity (great idea, but rather restrictive!) and not sure of what to do I managed to find this fab quote by Tennyson "by blood a king, in heart a clown". Nice - for a medieval freak it gave me the opportunity to use one of my many crown stamps. A few funky scrolls and medieval text, and Bob's your uncle. Ta dah!

I guess it was a bit of a cop-out really, but what with moving etc my mojo was suffering somewhat, and then I just ran out of time. Anyway, onwards and upwards! Next one is a WIP....

WOYWW week 62

Helloo thar!

It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and here's a shot of my desk. There's not actually an awful lot on it at the moment, as I'm still moving into our house - two months after moving date. Well, I say moving in but what I really mean is "unpacking boxes". I share my craft room with the home office and music room. It's a tight squeeze and has caused a few strops all round as we try to work out the best use of the space, but I think we've done it!

My desk is tidy at the moment. I've been told it has to stay that way as Mr B doesn't like clutter and can't work in a mess. He's a teacher, so I'm happy to oblige as the alternative is for him to either spend all his time at school or the local library. A tidy space is also probably going to encourage me to spend more time at my desk anyway.

On the desk are my storage containers for miscellaneous items and my eyelet/brad "collection", along with a handy brush rack that is super useful as a tool caddy. The spice rack on the left normally holds all my EP jars, but at present is home to a couple of items that are definitely out of place.

Actual work on the desk is minimal - eagle eyed readers may spot an item of bunting for a swap on UKStampers but that particular flag I'm unhappy with so it's going to be changed. Ho hum. As the weeks pass, I will include pics of the room around me so you can get a feel for my crafting space....

And here, for good measure, is a gratuitous shot of the garden from the craft/office/music room window!

I'm afraid I've only managed to get around a few of you guys this week, and not been able to leave comments due to time constraints, but I'm loving your work spaces ladies! (and gents...!)

Time flying.....

Well, it's all been busy busy busy here at Morti Mansions. We're in the final throes of Panto rehearsals (I'm in Ali Baba, in case I hadn't mentioned it before), and this weekend is being spent setting the theatre up ready for the final rehearsals this week (up till now we've rehearsed at a local hall) and finishing the scenery. I've discovered a new talent - I've never painted stage scenery before, but have found out that I have a knack for it. Well, at least I think everyone else thinks so - what else is one to think when the stage manager and the Director come up to you and ask your opinion and your assistance on a tricky item? I don't think I've done anything particularly clever or special, but they seem to! Can't quite figure that one out! Tomorrow I'll take my camera and get some photos, and you guys can let me know what you think....

Craft wise I've not reported much, so I ought to do so, shouldn't I?

I've had four CJs cross my desk over the last couple of months. One I have yet to do anything to, as technically it should only have arrived today. The first one was my own, the second belonged to Magickdiva (Fi) and the third to T Ann (Tracy). The last one which I've yet to do is Happy Daze's (and for the life of me I can't remember her name right now without going and checking... LOL). It's another UK Stampers CJ, and this time, rather than picking a colour AND a stamp, it's just one stamp. Although you can use others...

First up was my own , and I picked a rather ornate key... I'd go into more detail, but I did it back in November and I've slept since then. So you'll have to make do with pics...

First up, the front cover...

Then the first page...

and the rear of the first page...

Next up are my pages from Magickdiva's CJ. She chose a lovely Christmas tree where the shape of it is made up from Christmas greetings in several languages. Fi asked us to journal about our favourite Christmas memory; mine is tinged with some sadness, as it was the year our cat died on Christmas Eve, but in my memory is a great sense of light and brightness, as if it was somehow special that he passed away then. OK, so I was only 3, but I will never forget that particular Christmas Day.

I basically tore paper to use as a mask for hills, and french blue cats eye chalk ink, some holographic embossing powder, and some Stamp Tapestry stamps for the firs at the top of the page.

Lastly is T Ann's. Tracy is a novice stamper, so provided us with a stamp of some ornate gates, and asks us to do a technique, explaining the hows, whys and wherefores of what we've done, so she can use it as a record. I think it's also a really inspiring way of seeing what different things can be done with one stamp. I'd hate to be the last person in this CJ though, having to think of something that the previous 11 haven't!!!

I won't go into great detail as to what I've done - click on the picture of the writing and it's all written there for you!

Whew! Mammoth post that. I hope to get back here soon and blog some more. I've got numbers to make for the 40 thieves, plus invitations for the "party" in the panto, and on top of that, 110 Wedding invitations and 60 orders of service to do. Some are needed like, now, and the Wedding invites are needed ASAP (middle of Feb at the VERY latest! Ulp!) but the Orders of Service aren't required until May 22nd. At least I have a bit of time for those, eh?

TTFN!

Inchies and ATCs

I need to blog more often I think.

My excuse on this occasion is relatives visiting at Easter - I love my Mum to bits but her visit had a serious knock-on effect on my crafting, and my blogging.

Anyway, I have created some more inchies and ATCs lately - here they are:

The ATCs are for a swap on UK STampers which has the theme of "Black & White". All the images are Lisa Volrath, from the free Monthly Muse issue. I need to subscribe now!

Also on UK Stampers we have another Inchy swap - the theme for this one is "Bling". The photo definitely does NOT do them justice - they're beautifully pearlescent and sparkly in real life!

And last but not least, for the moment, we have an Inchy swap on Aunty's too - three guesses what the theme is for this one...

The one trouble with my photos of the inchies is that I've used pearlescent ink on parts, so you can't actually read the text that's on each one. Each inchy is unique - in the "Bling" swap, the text reads things like "Bling is King" and "Bling it on", "Bling me sunshine" etc. Sorry, my wit is weak from time to time! On the "Yellow" Inchies, I've just used the word yellow, only in 9 different languages including Korean, Greek, Hebrew....

Till tomorrow!

Stampbord Brooch swap

Over on UK STampers we've recently had a stampbord brooch swap.

Um, not sure what I can say about it other than - here is my effort!

Well, ok, I used alcohol inks for the background - stonewash, denim and silver mixative. I might even have used a little slate for good measure. Then I rubber stamped and heat embossed in black part of a fairy. I'm afraid I don't know the manufacturer. I also stamped the word "Believe" and added, in silver heat embossing, a corner element. Did a little scratching, edged in silver krylon, and coated with a thinnish layer of diamond glaze. I'd punched holes in three corners, so added beading. A brooch back was the last bit - but silly me has forgotten to sign it.

I hope the final recipient likes it!

Paper Beads

I wanted to put more in my post yesterday, but the other half was mithering for me to join him in Telly Watching (a national sport in itself, in my house) so my various activities were somewhat curtailed.

In another swap on UK STampers some bright spark (Pinky!) came up with the idea of a paper bead swap. I used to do a LOT of quilling, so making paper beads is something I'm ok at. I even mastered the art of the round bead, once upon a time, which if fine if you want something that is only about 2mm in diameter! The reason being that the width to length ratio is so extreme that for anything larger you need an inordinately long piece of paper. LOL.

Anyway, I digress. Kind of.

I picked purple as my colour (what else?!) and these are my results. I only had to make 20, but one style of bead is so small that I decided to make double the quantity of those, so people don't feel short changed....

Now, I don't have a melt pot. Not yet, anyway - it's now on my ever lengthening list. But a melt pot may not have been able to achieve quite the results that I got with these beads. For starters, I use Versamark ink to give the UTEE something to adhere to, then heat it. And generally, I repeat ad infinitum until I have the thickness of coating I require. Of course, this has its own snag as you end up twirling the bead constantly to ensure that the huge great glob that wants to drip off and hit the deck, doesn't. Makes a nice embellishment when it does though! Well, on these beads I decided that after layer number 1 of the UTEE, I'd add a little moonglow embossing powder to create a bit of interest, heated as normal and then of course went back to the UTEE. I forgot that it would reheat the other EP, and in the process of constantly rotating the bead I wound up with the following effect. It really is scrummy in real life - like glass that's been stretched and wound during the blowing process.

It's at times like this I love my camera. It's an Olympus SP-510UZ, nothing too fancy, or even that expensive, but it has both Macro and Super Macro (sounds like a computer game!) functions on it. Which enables quality shots like these. I mean, you can even see the print dots on the paper I used for the beads!

Naturally, this post wouldn't be complete without a look at the teeniest beads I did. Bear in mind that I'm showing them off on cocktail sticks - so I put one of them on a pound coin, just to show the size properly! It's just plain purple paper, only 5mm wide, cut to a flag and wound slowly and tightly to create the rounder bead. UTEE just the same, but the last lot was a half dip in hologram powder. Gorgeous!

The bug has bitten - and once I have all my other swaps under control, I'm going to make more.

And more...

and more..............

Altered Domino Swap & ATCs

Last month we did an altered domino swap on UK STampers . I've only just got into using Alcohol Inks (Tim Holtz IS a god...) so I thought I'd join in. What I have learned is that it's a good idea to remember that different coloured backgrounds affect the end result - I used the same inks on both the canvas and the dominos, but as one was white and the other cream, I got an odd effect. I also found out that alcohol inks strip the gold colour off German Scrap. It was just as effective a technique as adding the ink, to create a distressed look, but hey-ho.... I should point out that the frame is only about 4" x 2" approximately - weeny.

Images used were by Paperartsy and Judikins...

I've also realised that I completely failed to put up here the results of another ATC swap on Aunty’s Forum. The January swap was "Thank You for the Music" and my offering was very similar to the Metal one I did for UKSTampers:

And the ones I got back in exchange were....

Can you spot the deliberate mistake in one of the photos??? ROFL

My 100th post! Woohoo!

It's taken me a while to get here though, hasn't it?

I've been rather busy of late, and I keep meaning to come back on here and post what I've been doing, even if I only post one thing a day. Amazing how real life gets in the way - I've just seen that my last post was on the 27th January, but it doesn't feel like it's been more than a week since I last blogged!

Anyway, onto the more interesting stuff.

From the Morti Creation Station this week we have.....

Well, the first one isn't my own work - remember the metal ATCs I posted about on the 25th, for an ATC Swap at UKSTampers? These are what I got in return!

Big thanks go to WyvernSian, Rukshana and Okey for their fabulous work!

Next up is a 3D decoupage card I did for my little friend Miranda who turned 7 on Saturday just gone. My apologies for the poor photo - the full sized image of the whole card turned out blurred when I downloaded it from the camera, but by then the card was on its way...

Anyway, it's quite a simple card, using the die cut Fairy Poppets 3D images, mounted onto one of the DCWV (I think) mat stacks (Once Upon A Time set), which was then mounted onto lavender pearlescent card. That in turn is on an A5 pale pink card, and there's organza ribbon and bling. LOL

Finally for this post (cos it's a work day, and I've got to run!) is a card I made for a birthday on the Birthday List at Aunty's.

Again it's 3D decoupage (relatively quick and easy and doesn't require a lot of extras to create the wow factor!).

Just realised something - my apologies for my exuberant use of parenthetical statements - just one of those days!!!
