WOYWW 608 - and January comes to a close...

Good morning my fellow lovely WOYWWers!  Welcome back to the Mad Ramblings blog, and to another Wednesday's post.  For all the details head over to The Stamping Ground here where our lovely Julia will have all the deets....

So!  This week, progress on many fronts.

If you remember from a couple of weeks back, I mentioned Rudolph Day.  Well, that was two days ago and...ta-dah!  Two Christmas cards.

Second one is a more modern style...

Might not seem like much, but it's kind of a big deal here. Now to keep it going.

So, the desk itself is showing signs of a creativity aftermath - or craftermath as I've seen it referred to elsewhere.  LOL

Stitching wise, we have a lot of progress.  The spoon has gone home to the memorial maker.  Finished off the rose, added a few twisty vines and some freehand embroidery to look like handwriting at the bottom.

(If you're really interested, I have a Flosstube here where you can watch me being an idiot on YouTube)

Christmas Moose has moved on a little....

And we have started a Mill Hill charmed ornament, Dracula.   Hehehehehe.

The big movement is on the HAED (Heaven and Earth Designs) project, Siren's Lament.

I really disliked how untidy it looked, doing full cross stitches on such tiny fabric.  So, I swapped out to doing just tent stitch (half crosses) and am much happier with the result.  And as you can see, major progress.  I should get it completed in double time as well!

So the next couple of weeks will be about getting down to stitching and other creativity, see if I can't shift some of the lurking projects that are around.

Oh - and Morti Jr sent me a photo of her in her jumper, for me to share with you ladies...

Happy Hopping!

WOYWW 418

It's WOYWW again!  How'd that happen?  And I'm back....

The desk, and indeed whole craft room, is overloaded and messy. I've been avoiding it for weeks. I really must finish these ATCS off, so Lisa M, please contact me!

My most recent project is gradually growing. Unfortunately, so is the baby it's supposed to fit!  I'm going to a craft gathering tonight, so it'll get worked on there. It has a hood to knit while continuing  the pattern, so I've got some head-scratching to do. It's looking rather charming though...

Life here is rather crazy at the moment, and that's also part of the reason why I've been out of the loop and not doing much at my desk (aside from the black hole it's become.).  Yours truly started her CIPD Level 5 (for those not in the know, it's an HR qualification equivalent to second year of degree level, pretty high up stuff and very involved) so I've got a lot of working at home to do.  It's all online learning, and I've got to spend a minimum of 8 hours per week on it for the next 11 months.

Update on Lil Miss B - we've started visiting Universities.  Next one is Birmingham, so Shaz will be seeing some smiling faces near her in a fortnight....  Any of you up by Lancaster? Hehehehe  we just visited Chester.  I slept most of the following day, we were that tired.  We think we're going to book a room overnight when we do Lancaster.

Mr B has trained on a Hiab Container Lifter (see pic for an idea) recently.  He's like a kid with a Tonka Truck, happy as a sandboy.... LOL

So, happy hopping to one and all - hope you enjoy the day ahead....

WOYWW 227

Ho hum.

Here we are for another WOYWW (deets http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.com) and the world keeps on turning.  Sorry I've not been around much - we've all had the Lurgy here and a fortnight ago we sadly had to let our beloved Twig cross the rainbow bridge which pretty much put a down on everyone's mojo.

My desk this week mostly looks yarn shaped. I've finished work on one scarf, am working in this one...

...and working on a third one in regular wool as a knit-a-long with Mr B. yes, you read it right here.... Md B is knitting. He already knew the knit stitch, but no others and rather likes the idea of learning. It's the Navy part of him you see.  All those knots.

I've done a wee bit to Project Life, but as always there's not much to show until the photos are developed so you'll just have to possess your souls in patience till then.

Will I get round anyone this week? Who knows? Panto is now in full rehearsal and this week Mr B is working nights on the trucks (having quit teaching - did I mention that yet?) so hopefully you'll see me on the hop....  Catch you around!!!
