Celtic Inchy

Having finally got my mojo back, I thought I would start my blogging off with a Celtic Inchy I did for the last challenge on the Inchy by Inch blog.

Background was done with pearlescent inks, stamping with Azurite Chalk ink, a white Sakura pen for the outline, and a small word added courtesy of Stonehenge font at 6pt.

I did 7 of them in the end, to comply with a swap we're doing over on Auntys....

I have more art to blog later.....

Inchies and ATCs

I need to blog more often I think.

My excuse on this occasion is relatives visiting at Easter - I love my Mum to bits but her visit had a serious knock-on effect on my crafting, and my blogging.

Anyway, I have created some more inchies and ATCs lately - here they are:

The ATCs are for a swap on UK STampers which has the theme of "Black & White". All the images are Lisa Volrath, from the free Monthly Muse issue. I need to subscribe now!

Also on UK Stampers we have another Inchy swap - the theme for this one is "Bling". The photo definitely does NOT do them justice - they're beautifully pearlescent and sparkly in real life!

And last but not least, for the moment, we have an Inchy swap on Aunty's too - three guesses what the theme is for this one...

The one trouble with my photos of the inchies is that I've used pearlescent ink on parts, so you can't actually read the text that's on each one. Each inchy is unique - in the "Bling" swap, the text reads things like "Bling is King" and "Bling it on", "Bling me sunshine" etc. Sorry, my wit is weak from time to time! On the "Yellow" Inchies, I've just used the word yellow, only in 9 different languages including Korean, Greek, Hebrew....

Till tomorrow!

Inchies

Well, I sent out even more inchies, and got some back this week.

Here are the inchies I did for the February swap on Aunty's Forum: I used medium weight card, and a mixture of stamps from various manufacturers. The theme was "New" - see if you can work what each of the "New" images mean (I defy anyone to get what the hourglass is representing!). They were stamped in Stazon, coloured in with pencils, edged with gold Krylon, and the word "new" printed, cut out and glued on. I then added a little Distress Ink in Scattered Straw around the edges.

The inchies I got back were from the UKSTampers "Let's Celebrate" swap for Jan 09. (See my examples below). Sadly a couple of people had to pull out, so we got some doubles - but to me that's just twice the love!

I hope to blog some more tomorrow - I got the "New" swap back, and sent out some "Oriental" ones....

Loads of stuff!!!!

Yes - it's been a while since I was last on here blogging, but I've been a bit busy. Yes, I've been crafting. But I've also been watching the European Ice Skating Championships - and Britain has won Bronze in the Ice Dance! WOOHOOO!!! About bloomin' time too. Last time we won anything was Torvill & Dean in 1994.....

Anyway, onto the Craft stuff!

Today is Rudolph Day - which means I have to show the cards I've made. And here they are:

We get extra points for cards with Snow on them, and all four of mine have! I've recycled my old Xmas cards, used both dry and heat embossing - cuttlebug folders, I love you....

I've also been in an inchie swap on UK Stampers, as well as an ATC swap there. The theme for the inchies was "Lets Celebrate"...

and the theme for the ATCs was "Metal" - they basically had to have some metal on them somewhere. As I'm in the throws of another ATC swap on Aunty's where the theme is "Thank You for the Music", I kind of rolled with it on this occasion - my fave music tends to be rock and heavy metal, hence the music notes embossed on metal sheet. Which in this case happens to be a Tomato Puree tube opened out (and washed thoroughly, too). Paper was 7gypsies, stamps are Paper Artsy and Studio G.... inks are all Ranger - either Alcohol (on the metal) or Distress.

Anyways - gotta run! More tomorrow..... maybe. I have badminton tomorrow night, so more blogging may have to wait until Tuesday!

Inchies, ATCs and a sneaky peak.....

Ooh - I'm enjoying this creative malarkey! Thanks everyone for your very kind comments....

Along with the Little Book of Purple, I sent nine inchies to Sid for the November swap on UK STampers . The theme was Christmas - I guess these are more wintery, but I'd just seen some gorgeous serviettes in Tesco that were this colour combo, and was inspired. They're a more greeny blue in real life... The stamp is by All Night Media.

Then over on the Inchy by Inch blog we've had a Christmas Inchy Swap, where we've had to make 12 inchies. I can't remember where the stamps came from, some cheap and tacky set, but they are quite sweet, and the perfect size. Background is 140lb watercolour paper, with DTP background in Fluid Chalk Ink. Images coloured in with Twinkling H2Os.

Onto ATCs now - again, on UKSTampers there's an ATC swap - the theme being Da Vinci. Without running upstairs, I can't tell you where one of the stamps came from, but the other is by Cherry Pie. The papers are Joanna Sheen. I've distressed them a bit with Dark Brown and Burnt Umber chalk ink.

Last but not least - I'm finishing off a piece of art for the UK Art Raffle. This month's theme is Circles. I don't want to show the whole piece until it's received by the winner of the raffle, so for now, just a couple of sneaky peaks.

Musical Inchy...

Over on the Inchy By Inch blog, Fi has set the challenge of a Music Inchy in honour of her appearance in The Magic Flute in Newbury. So here's mine!

Boo!!!

Over on the Inchy by Inch challenge blog, the theme is all things Halloween.... and here is my offering:

I love it, even if I do say so myself! It's not quite turned out how I expected/hoped/dreamed, but it's pretty darned close.

Ironically enough, I hadn't intended to make it to include as part of the latest team challenge on Aunty's Forum , but I didn't have any spiders, and wound up recycling an over-used, tiny cotton wool ball from one of my i-kan-dee chalk sets. I coloured it in with black felt tip pen, added some wire legs, et voila! One spider..... and one Halloween Inchy!

PS. The stamp is from All Night Media...

Star

Over on the Inchy by Inch blog, the latest challenge is "Stars".

I went away, did mine, came back..... and realised that I'd done something almost identical. I'm just going to have to go away and do another one, aren't I?

Anyway, here's the one I've done for now... LOL

Inchy Saturday...

Well, at least it's not late!

Over on MagickDiva's blog, there's a link to her Inchy by Inch blog where she sets a challenge every Monday... This week is all about postal art, and here is my entry! There is also blog candy up for grabs courtesy of Nina at Purple Faerie and her blog can be found HERE ((((Ooh! Just learned how to do hyperlinks!!!! ROFL)))

I've basically used stamps, in a collage format, added 1" in stamped numbering (bottom right hand corner) and added a charm which is a pair of notes.... geddit?????? ROFL

I may just have a stab at the next one when Fi puts them up!

I've also added four more entries for the team challenge to Auntys Forum which are as follows. For once I'm going to pat myself on the back - these are good, even for me, and I seem to have ramped up my game a bit lately....to be honest, the photos don't really do these cards justice.

Let the Blogging Commence!

Well, here goes. I doubt I'm going to get everything blogged tonight, so expect lots of stuff on here for the next few days.

The thing is, you see, that lots of things I'm involved in or doing are coming to either a conclusion, or fruition, all at the same time.

First up is something for SSCC (Seasonal Storm's Christmas Club). Just to prove I HAVE been making my Christmas Cards, here are last month's....

swiftly followed by the ones I have made this month. The girls in SSCC will know that I have neatly dovetailed this month's cards into the team challenge on Aunty's Forum!

Next up are the Inchies I received for the Valentine's Inchy Swap, also on Aunty's...

Fabulous work, girls! Only 9 of us took part, though we made 10 inchies each. Mine are the two on the bottom far right.

And here are the ATCs I made for the ATC swap we did. I hope in the next day or so to photgraph the ones I've had back today...

And yes - those really are watch parts glued to the cards....

That'll do for tonight, craftwise.

The last thing I'd like to put in tonight is a picture of the tattoo I had done on the 16th February.... I'm loving it. It's at the base of my spine. Certain of my friends know exactly what its symbolism is - I don't want to sit here and explain it or try to justify why I did it. It's personal. It speaks of my own personal belief. Nuff Said.
