WOYWW 582 - Late arrival

Story of my life, really, late arrival.

It wasn't always this way.  I used to be on time for things.  Then I became a mum and invariably time stretched and I was regularly late for things.

Like today.  Late.

LOL

Anyway, I'm here now.  Just about... Another round of WOYWW courtesy of the lovely Julia.  If you're just here to browse, you can find more desks here

Not a lot to report this week.

One of my high spots crafting wise was that I finally got to sit down and put together a jewellery kit.  I bought it well before we moved 14 (erherm) months ago, and I fished it out of the box about three weeks ago. It's lurked on my desk since and I finally put it together yesterday.  Not everyone's cup of tea, I'll grant you, but I like it.  More to the point, I will need to safeguard it from robbery by Miss B as I'm sure once she's seen it, I'll have a fight on my hands.  But most likely I'll make her one of her very own if she really likes it that much.

I've also got up to date with my Peppermint Purple Blackwork Stitch-a-long (SAL) - A Year of Blackwork 2020.  It has been fun and we're only just 7 months into it.  I'm resisting the urge to sign up to anything else though, at the moment, as I definitely have SABLE....  Hehehehe

Until next time!

Oh Wow Morti, that blackwork is, well, absolutely fabulous. I would love the patience (and ability) to do something like that but I think I have left it a bit too late to bother learning something else. Takes me all my time to keep going with what crafting I do do.
Love the necklace - clever girl, I like the beading part way through the chain, very clever.

I really like the necklace and yes, you'll have a problem keeping it out of Miss B's mitts!! My friend in New Zealand is doing the exact same embroidery except hers is in red....the squares and patterns look identical. I like them very much!

Hi Morti. Sorry I am a day late got a bit tied up with paint and phonecalls yesterday!! You are safe from criticism from me when it comes to being late... I barely know what day of the week it is at the moment! Seems padlock and key come to mind when looking after your new necklace - well done on finishing yet a further project. That blackwork is something else! Is it one square a week, a month, a day??? I do so hope we all get to see the finished item at the end of the year.
Take care. God bless.

In response to your questions - he gave me less than 2 weeks notice for the Dalek and the Washi drawers are by Deflecto. I got them from Hochanda.

I love your blackwork project, Morti - just beautiful! There's something very striking about monochrome, isn't there. Thank you for visiting my blog, and I'm glad you liked my outfit and our kitties (who always seem to steal the show!). My top is a cotton/synthetic mix, I think. It is very comfortable to wear, whatever! Mediaeval re-enactments must be so much fun. I've often thought it would be fun to be involved with Sealed Knot but there's only so much you can do in this life and I'm already probably spread too thin! We love Castle Drogo.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #12
