WOYWW 176 - post Crop-fest....

I'm a bit late to the party this week - everyone else who went has already blogged or Facebooked their photos. I didn't actually get that many pictures - I certainly did a STOOPID thing and didn't take any pics at my house in the evening, when we played "see how many WOYWWers you can get round Morti's table....". It was 6 plus satellite family members, in fact.... I think Jan and Donna might have got a couple of pics of that though. I'll just have to beg a sneaky snaffle of those!

I expect by the time you've got here, you're fed up to the back teeth with "wasn't it a wonderful day" kind of remarks. I'll do my version later on in this post, but as we're here for WOYWW, I'll start with my desk... (scroll to the end if you're only here for the tiffin recipe).

Absolute mayhem - I've not yet had the opportunity to put everything away from the weekend.  There is however a new resident.  Perturbius Strop has come to live with me from Doone's house, and she's just ADORABLE!  Thank you, Donna!

I took part in the beaded tassel workshop with Janet (Fairy Thoughts), and finished mine off over the last couple of days.  Such fun!  I have always loved beading, and it's nice to try something new occasionally.

And so, onto the Crop....

Jan directing traffic in her able manner.... or telling one of us off maybe?  Heheheh

Fergus takes pride of place, dead centre of the photo between Helen (H) and Sam (Hettiecraft).  All of us beavering away at something or other.

Queuing for the amazing lunch you've already heard about!

And just to really upset you, gratuitous close up shots of the cupcakes - top one is the Physalis cupcake (like marmite, you either love it or hate it!), bottom one is the Black Forest cupcake.  To my mind, chocolate is always a winner, and these had black cherry sauce in the middle and the icing was fresh cream...... Yum!

As for the tiffin - here is the recipe as promised to many of you....

Fridge Tiffin

Put 225g of Plain chocolate, and 100g of butter in a large saucepan.
Heat gently until melted, and remove from the heat.
Quickly add a 397g can of Nestle Sweetened Condensed milk first, then 275g crushed digestive biscuits, and 25g raisins (optional). You can also add 25g halved glace cherries if you wish, or cranberries and nuts (whatever you fancy!).
Stir well until fully mixed.
Press the mixture into an 18cm x 28cm baking tin lined with greaseproof paper.
Chill until firm.
Cut into triangles and decorate with white chocolate (optional).

Yes, it really IS that easy to make.  Enjoy!  If you want the flapjack recipe, let me know.   See you on the bloghop!

We had a lovely evening, and am happy to have been grown up and honoured my commitments, but would have loved to have forced another chair round your table! It was great. Your domino class was great. Your Donna dolly is fab!!

Now I can vouch for how tidy that desk was over the weekend so how on earth did it get like that so quickly?
Maybe Donna and I were unwittingly crafting with our feet whilst sleeping! Sleeping in a fabulous craftroom was my idea of heaven and your hospitality made it even better.
Lots of love Jo x

You neglected to mention your wonderful dominoes and how you gave up your time during the day to help us all with them. So I'm here to blow your trumpet for you, as it were!!
Thanks Morti.

That tiffin was FAB. Dh heated it up and topped it with ice cream :) and DD scoffed hers in the car on the way home ( I didn't get a look in - which was OK as I did have a rather large one at the crop)

Love my domino and really must try some of your other techniques for the now.

Nice to see you again!

I saw the food at Jo's blog, but most people only showed crafting. Still, I feel like I was there with all of you and would love to join in someday. You made Donna's doll proud. I'm sure she is fond of being center stage. What an amazing journey, and to host Donna and Jo afterward was a truly awesome task. Happy WOYWW from # 2.

Looks like Jan is doing the hokey-cokey in that photo. What a fab weekend you all had and I'm certainly not fedd up at all of the photos - it's called living vicariously (I think) as I wish I could have been there as well. Think you would have struggled to get me in your craft room as well as Jo and Donna though.

One thing about your photos - some great cake shots - yumm

Just reliving the weekend through your pics... wish I could get my hands on those goodies again but my clothes have shrunk since Saturday! I wonder why?
I finally found my labradorite ring in the bottom corner of one of my many bags... it could have been there for months but I finally sorted them all today and voila!
Huge thanks again to you D & O, and all the furry and scaly babes for a great stay.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some comments today.

Yes, I do need some nice watercolour paper, but I just don't seem to find decent stuff that is smooth enough for stamping.

Re the location, we chatted on WOYWW about it ages ago and I had forgotten until I looked at your blog again. I am in that big town up the road that pretends to be a city and begins with an S.

Can't find your email....
Please can you help? I'm having trouble finding the milk top/pourer that you have (and I WANT). Tesco stores no joy and even Tesco on line, as you suggested. Do you have a link pretty please? What is it's official title? I searched under so many descriptions with no luck. I should have just stolen yours whilst Donna and I were there!!!! Thanks and love to all...
