How much fun was that? I'm not going to bore you all silly with yet another post about crop. The measly couple of photos I took pall into insignificance next to everyone else's, and none of mine were as interesting as all the others.... However, it was an amazing day, far too much cake was consumed and it was wonderful to catch up with old and new friends, and generally have a blast. I got the tissue box finished!
So, lets move swiftly on to this week's desk, for the rounds of WOYWW (see Mrs D for details)...
This week I'm in two places. The dining room table:
And the main crime scene upstairs:
A closer look at the table reveals Project Life cards - I'm doing the first year of my gorgeous Great-Nephew's life:
Hiding underneath that lot is some beading I'm doing for Christmas, that I started at crop:
And really bizarrely, on the main desk upstairs, I'm casting noses! This belonged to a rather gorgeous black lab called Shadow. It's a bit warped where the owners might have squished the mould a bit before it set, but each dog's nose print is unique, so it's still a special thing.... I just need to finish it and mount it for them.
So, move along, there's not that much that's interesting here! See you in a comments box near you. And I'm very sorry I didn't get around to commenting last week! oopsy....

well, I couldn't get onto your post from the link today on WOYWW but went back to last week's and worked from there... noses... who knew? what a great idea. Loved your star beading too. Helen #1

Hi Mortimer,
I heard that there was an excess of cake at the crop, glad you enjoyed it.

Totally agree about the crop being fun AND the bit about too much cake! Lovely to meet you having been peeking at your desk!

LINK NOT WORKING - I did like Helen did and worked back from last week.
I think that lab's nose is fantastic - will we get to see it complete before it is sent off, please.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
I have had to come here via last weeks post - some strange message came up on link from Julia's. It was good to see you at the crop, sadly did't get around to see what you were doing but the beaded star looks great! What an unusual way to record how a pet looks! Hugs, Chris x 27
I was wondering why your first link didn't work! It says something about privacy issues. Very strange - never came across anything like that. Loving your beading project - it will look wonderful when completed! I totally recognized the nose! Cute and weird at the same time. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #22
Hi Morti, love the idea of the dogs nose! Really unusual. Beaded star is great, I do think they look so pretty. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #10 xxx
visiting again, glad it wasn't just me - got the same message as Chris... oh well, great to see you (twice!) Helen '#1
Ooh the star beady thing is looking fab. Still can't see the detail without extra super magnifiers!! I was surprised to scrapbooking (PL) on your desk, but there you have it - a brilliant reason!
Glad you got your link sorted, and love that beaded star .... wondered what was keeping you so interested at your desk! lol It's absolutely stunning.
Have a good week

I'm glad you got your link sorted out!
Looks like there's lots going on. You even spilled out of your craft room and downstairs. Lol. I'm trying to stop myself from doing that lol. Love the beaded ornament. Very pretty.

I didn't see the beaded star at the Crop but it's ever so pretty! You are very clever at the beadwork 😊 That squishy dog nose is rather fun too :-)

Love your dsk and your beading project is just super!! Have a great weekend! Ginny #45
I love your little beaded snowflake decoration, it looks quite complicated to do but I would love to have a go. The noses idea is fantastic, I've never heard of it before (well, only with children's hands!), what a wonderful keepsake.
Hope you have a great week,

Hi there Morti,
It was so wonderful to have you pop over.. thank you.
Love the starry bead hanging that will be stunning, smiled at the doggy nose, and I have three great nephews one the sane age as yours don't they grab your heart?
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Morti,
The die is either Memory Box 'Hayden Twigs' or 'Winterberry Sprig' - they are both very similar, but the die cut came out of my scrap box with berries and bits missing so it's difficult to tell!!

Hi Morti, Nice to find a fellow beader. Loving your star.
The dogs nose is lovely.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hi Morti, thanks for the visit to mine. I've had a busy couple of weeks so I have to admit I have not done many desk visits but have managed to leave comments for all those who've been to mine so I don't feel quite so bad. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I love the dogs nose, what a great idea. Happy belated woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 17
I am running behind this week, but wanted to thank you for the sweet comments on my blog. Your work areas sure have fun variety to show your creativity.
I love the beading have wanted to try it but I can hardly keep up with getting anytime to create. Have a sunny day..
Love your "crime scene!" Nose cast? Hmm. That is pretty bead work. Thank you for stopping by my craft space. :). #36
your beaded star looks like it is going to be so gorgeous :) Ah, that snow was at a national park about 40 miles from my house at like 7000 foot elevation. (at my house we have like 1 inch) I don't know how to do the metric conversion.

Wow that's a lot going on. I can't do multiple projects at once, I forget which I need to finish first! The marker storage came from a company that sadly stopped making them. There are however loads of tutorials for making them from foam board. Thanks for the visit!
