Well, mayhem of a sort, I suppose. I can't actually share my desk today, but I can share it from a couple of days ago, plus some finished things....
And why am I sharing - WOYWW of course! Thanks to the lovely Julia as usual. If you're not familiar with it, head over to the Stamping Ground and you'll find all you need to know about joining in!
So, onto my space....
Earlier this week my desk looked like this. I've come to the conclusion that I need better storage. And that I have a Die Habit. I'm amazed I'm not in trouble, after Mr B took one look at it and agreed I needed help. He was referring to the storage.... I think.....
After that mess came this.......
Swiftly followed by this!
I actually sold that card - it was a bona fide order, in so much as a work colleague said "I need an 18th birthday card". Made using the Crafters Companion Die'sire oval accordion die and one of the overlays. Sooo fiddly, I must buy Stick It! next time rather than try to glue the overlay on using PVA glue.... doh....
And a catch up on previously - the finished tissue box from a couple of weeks ago. Some of you have seen it on FB already, sorry to bore you. Hehehehe
I needed a dark purple card for the next box I'm making, but couldn't find it in town (Salisbury) anywhere. It's arrived in this morning's post (thank you, ebay) so I should have second box to show you next week. Yay!
So, I will see you all on the hop. I'm a bit busy this week with trying to get my little business (Hare Moon Crafts) back up and running. Meetings every other Wednesday with my web developer to sort the website out, plus we have a Christmas Craft Fair on the 12th November to prep for. Sometimes I wonder why I do this.
TTFN - Happy Hopping!

Hi Morti, loved the box when I saw it, gorgeous. I think I'm having a problem with die storage too, just trying to figure out the best way. I have had them in folders, but I'm not sure thats really working any more! Time to try something else, I think. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #4xxx
I'm afraid better storage is like getting a bigger purse, it too will eventually get filled to the brim! I have a ton of storage, very organized, you would never know it looking at my desk! LOL! Have a great day! Thanks for sharing - Lindart #43
Hi Morti. Why do you do it??? Simply because, like the rest of us, we try to fit three lifetimes into one... and, of course, we enjoy it!! I love the tissue box. It's great. Well done.
Hope you get everything finished in time.
Take care. God bless.

great post! Love the card and box. Enjoyed the snoop through your desk this week. I have a bit of a die and stamp fetish myself. I have started using 3 ring binders and either clear pocket/baseball card holders to hold them in or magnetic sheets. I really need to stop buying so many! I switched to the Thins style cause the large blade ones were taking up too much space. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #11
hopefully you do it cos you love it.... good luck! love the 18th birthday card. don't let Mr B see my place. he'd have seven kittens. even I do sometimes! Helen #1
Lovely card. Looks like you had a lot of stuff on your desk. Sort of like mine lol. But not so much creating on mine!

Wow that is a stunning card and I am amazed at the level of detail ... gorgeous. Love eBay, amazon and many other online addictive internet things.

Your die situation looks a lot like mine. the majority of mine were given to me when my SIL decided she didn't want them anymore, and I've just left them in the box she had them in. I suppose I should start organizing them better too. Your desk definitely saw some improvement, and that card is really beautiful! I'm sure your co-worker loved it!

Busy desk today, just what I like to see. Happy belated woyww, Angela x 17
Hi Morti, just popped back as you mentioned the Smeared Ink range of stamps. I've heard of them but can't find where to buy them.
Thanks for stopping by, Angela x
Happy Belated WOYWW. I am glad that I stopped buying/using dies before it took over my credit card! I had a small collection a few years ago and remember the storage problem (I had magnetic sheets in folders). Ali x #27
The card and the box are both gorgeous! Your desk looks pretty familiar... I have a die problem myself. ;) Sorry I'm so late! Have a great week! Heather (waywardgypsy) #51?
Love that 18th card - I bet your colleague was thrilled with it!
I really must get my eyes tested, When i read the first sentence, I thought you said your had a Die Hard problem - I was really confused for a while until I reread it :-D

Hi Morti, Thanks for whizzing through my blog and leaving your comment.
Hope life get's a bit calmer for you.
That card is beautiful. I'm sure your work colleague adored it.
We always need more storage and then as soon as we see an area free of anything, you buy more stuff:)
Happy WOYWW

Love the triple fold card! Very pretty! And the tissue box cover is rather stunning!
So far, I've kept all my dies in original packaging, sometimes putting a small magnetic piece in some of them to just hold them in place. The magnetic sheets come in the letterbox, usually as advertising from real estate agents or plumbers!
