WOYWW 170 - When September comes....

.....and OMG it's here!  Where is the year going?
So here we are on WOYWW once more - head on over to Julia's to see the deets and add your desk to Mr Linky.
Not much has happened on my desk since last week's creative flurry.  I can show you a shot of the cross-stitch I've been working on though!

I also won something else - the relief at finally being told that 50% of my tummy troubles are down to a hernia, and yes it can be fixed.  BUT I'm probably going to need a hysterectomy too, so now it's up to the General and Gynaecological surgical teams to co-ordinate so that they can do both at the same time.  Me, I'm phylosophical about it all.  I'd rather have the next 20 years pain and worry free than keep a somewhat redundant womb that has failed to achieve it's target, and now never will, only to have it removed in 20 years time anyway.

So here's to health and fitness - however far off it may be.   LOL.

Not fun, fer sure. Must catch up at Ludgershall next time, if you will be there. Love the Xstitch. Gosh it has been AGES since I did that but I so DO NOT need to take it up again. I have too much else I am loving right now to even consider it.

well done on winning the challenge.

Knowing what causes the problem is half the battle..I'm so glad that you've finally got some answers.
Lovely cross stitch..blimey, I haven't done any of that for years. And I need to learn how to do those spirally bits on the dominoes wirework - maybe we can have a mini session on 13th october!

It is hard to believe it is September already isn't it? But at least that has brought us a slight drop in temperature so we are a bit more comfortable. I like the cross stitch. It makes me think I should get mine out of hibernation and do a bit more.
Hope the medical problems are dealt with as soon as possible. Keep the positive attitude. Kate x #94

Hi there Morti ah your win is fantastic! isn't it nice to have good news to soften the not so good news? I pray the op will be speedily arranged, and swift and effective recovery afterwards.
Not sure what your system is like but here if we have private cover it is fine - going public may entail some waiting..up to a year or so and that can be quite a debilitating time for those concerned..
Anyway sounds like you have a very capable team, good on you for your positive spirit; after all more than half the battle is knowing just what is wrong! then you just want it over with, love and heaps of hugs, Shaz in oz.x #48

Congrats on the win and commiserations on your need to have surgery. Not that I looked back from having my hysterical rectomy and despite it being a bit problematic (when they got inside) I made a quick and good recovery. Make sure you are happy with your surgeon and it will be a breeze. Am sure Donna will give you all the proper advice you need.
