WOYWW 162 - more Project Life...

Whoa! Where the heck did that week go? Oh, I know. Down the gutter with all the rain. And the country’s hopes, when Andy Murray lost at Wimbledon. Poor old Jonathan Marray though, overlooked as one half of the winning men’s doubles team.

Well, here we are again for another round of WOYWW – prepare thyself to do battle with Blogger, for she verily is a scurrilous knave and somewhat pesky in the posting department.

*shakes head to clear it*

Sorry, not too sure what happened there. LOL

Anyway, for the deets and Mr Linky, head over here.

My desk this week is not that interesting. I’ve not done an awful lot other than have a general push around and call it tidier. Mr Wobbly Man and his sidekick Junior are just hanging about doing not a lot (as per usual, nothing new there), and the tissue box hasn’t actually moved much further forwards. That would be because the Outlaws were here again, with Mr B heading off to the Fairford Air Show with Grandad B. The steampunked/industrialised mask has moved on a little bit further – not a lot, just a little.

I’m really getting into my Project Life though, having completed Week 3 and well on the way to finishing Week 4. At this rate, I will have caught up by the last week of December! (do the maths...). The crochet has taken a little bit of a backseat as it’s starting to set my carpal tunnel off. Mr B wants me to teach him next, so maybe we’ll be able to sit and crochet together – there’s love for you!

Well, we’re hopefully off to a special event on Saturday, weather permitting, and I will make sure I get photos for next week’s WOYWW...

In the meantime – watch out, watch out, there’s a Morti about. See you in a comments box near you!

Sounds like you have been enjoying the tennis. Your desk seems to be relativley clear not a mess happening. Nothing worse than carpel tunnel, you take it easy and good luck teaching the crochet.

Happy crafting.

Hi Morti,
Actually I'm a bit confused, I thought it was WOYWW 163 as per Julia's title but everyone's posting as 162 not sure who's correct - but anyway, doesn't matter if there's nothing going on (says me who didn't post last week for that very reason) lol.
Love Mr Wobbly Man and the mask.

I think you have been pretty busy just with a few of the things mentioned on your post. I am impressed that you are still doing Project Life. I have a terrible habit of signing up for one online workshops and then moving on to the next one. Although I do love Andy Skinner at the moment so I might stick with him a bit longer.

ah you are tidy eh? and on schedule to finish something albeit at a steady rate of behindness? both my boys can knit and crochet and are proud to do so publicly, an amazing number of their pals have also asked for tuition, however if you want crochet at the speed of motorway travel - look no further than JoZart - she made two bibs and three handbag charms between leaving Derby and arriving in Ljublijana (6hrs). Needless to say twas I that did the driving, for crocheting and driving cannot be done simultaneously ... or can it?????

Glad the Mr Bs enjoyed their day at Fairford. We saw some of the planes on our return from Gloucester that day, G3 and I had been playing at a special Brass day there.
Your mask looks awesome, if slightly eerie at the moment. It seems to be following me around the room...ooer...

Your desk is incredibly tidy today...
Poor Andy, pipped at the last again, but I agree, a British winner and he gets barely a mention...
Have a good week, looking forward to the photos... Helen, 16

Great filing system. I'm off to a craft fair organised by an 18 year old lad who is a real entrepreneur and quite lovely. Enjoy your do.

Hi Morti - Love the idea of the Project Life. If you are behind its got to be because you're living it...that can't be a bad thing! WOYWW Hugs from Helen 69

I tried to teach my husband to knit once, it didn't go well! He's an engineer, way too methodical and precise! Maybe yours will do better with the crochet! Is the mask just because or for a specific reason? IE another panto or something!

What a GREAT weekend of tennis that was even if Andy lost. All the matches were great and the winners deserved their wins as nobody just "walked" it!

Hi Morti, you asked about punching out polymer flowers. I'd never heard of it either before the weekend. You roll out the clay very very thinly, then colour with a few drops of Alcohol inks (not too much or the clay goes brittle), stamp with Archival on both sides then bake. It is still flexible when it comes out of the oven so as long as your paper punch is reasonably strong you can punch out - may have to 'pump' the punch a little to get it to go through but it does work.

yes YES YES - I will come and stay in October - remind me of the specific dates -I will see if I bring a companion - might be Jo or Liz - Mr D would rather have his toe snail ( i refuse to correct that typo) pulled out than put up with a gaggle of excited woywwers,,, it destroys his Eyeore demeanor,

please do not expect me to sleep if you put me in a craft room...

thank you

Very clean desk this week for you. Dont you hate that our hands give up on us when we are enjoying a craft, I had to give up my crochet too for awhile until my wrists stop groaning. My wonton recipe isnt up yet, will link to WOYWW when I have made it

Hi Morti, thanks for your lovely comments! Do try the faux porcelain - it's amazing, and really fun to do. I'm still trying to visit last week's desks too - too many to visit them all but I does me best! Thanks for your good wishes for Shoshi's Blog Shop too - hoping for great things. I'd love to shift the Cricut machine - if you know anyone who might like it, please send them in my direction!!

Got to get my skates on and have something interesting to photograph for this week's WOYWW! I want to start on some flowers next.

How's the wrist?

Shoshi
