Welcome once more to WOYWW - the weekly wonder as dreamt up by our delightful desk diva, Julia Dunnit! No, I've not gone mad, but if you think I have, you need to hop over to her blog here and have a look for yourself!
Short and sweet this week from me! Here's my desk. I'm working on my ATCs still - I don't know whether I'll do just one, or a whole bunch; you'll have to wait and see on the day!
I'm also working on getting some old stamps of mine mounted up. These ones don't generally see the light of day (out of sight, out of mind), though I know they are always there, in the back of my mind. Until recently, I kept them in a postcard album, which wasn't ideal. Then Lil Miss B started collecting postcards, and as of this weekend now owns said album. So, it's made me do something proper with the stamps in question, and I'm in the throes of mounting them onto EZ mount and some old Kling-on I had. I prefer EZ mount, personally, but have to do the best with what I've got at the moment.
Other than that - not much to report!
Catch you on the hop, so to speak.....

I'm not much of a stamper (as you can probably tell), but I don't mount my UMs. I leave them unmounted and put tacky glue on the back. It's repositionable and won't gunk up your acrylic blocks, either. That way, I can use them on any surface, including curved ones. Happy WOYWW from #5.
Love the little wooden doll on your desk, he looks like he is dancing away! happy mounting! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
Don't you just hate mounting stamps? I have a drawer full waiting for that self same job. Ugh!
Love your busy desk, especially that harlequin mug you have.
Thanks for sharing, Hugs, Neet #11 x

It's a good job done, mounting all those stamps up. At least you'll probably use them more from now on :)
Hugs, LLJ #48 xx
I hate the process of doing the EZ mount, but it is worth it in the end. I will also be doing a few extra ATCs for the swap...I will join you.
You've got some handy plug points on your desk. Don't think I could do that with my glass top desk, but I will give it a good coat of looking at.

Thank you for your lovely comment. The synchronicity in this world is truly astounding sometimes - and often when and where you least expect it...

Yep, the worst part of crafting is mounting stamps (in my opinion) so well done you for getting on with it. I am 'trying' to make ATCs too. Happy WOYWW,

Good luck with the stamp mounting has to be my most hated job lol. Hugs, Amanda #76
Lovely busy desk Morti!! I spent a long time mounting (and remounting from wood blocks) all my stamps a while back, getting my scissors all covered with awful sticky glue from the EZ Mount and getting sore hands from the cutting, till I discovered Tim Holtz's wonderful shears which make the job a doddle! Non-stick blades make it easy peasy!
Happy WOYWW,

I don't envy you that task, one of my least favourite! I like your poem in the previous post. Have you see the Horrible Histories song on that subject? My children love it!
I'm not sure how to do a clickable link in a comment and I can't see a way of emailing you but it's here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4x0K2Y7kPw if you fancy a peek :o)

A hive of activity on your desk! What's the talc for? patsy
Thanks for your nice comment on my blog, Morti - glad you liked the card (and yes, he loved it! - he's gone out with the metal detecting club today and said he was going to show them all!) My hubby went to the Dorset Steam Fair last year and said it was terrifyingly HUGE!! Made the Devon County Show look like a village fete lol!!

Re: Your Comment--the intended purposes for the inked tiles are, wall decorations, coasters, backsplashes, paper weights, or to display on a small easel. Thanks for visiting.
I love your busy desk and how it fits in the corner like that. I've wondered about unmounting my rubber stamps but just can't bring myself to do it.
In answer to your question, our kids will start school back up around August 15th or so.
That is one job that you can have, I used a citrus cleaner on my sissors during the cutting process as it help the EZ mount from not sticking so much to the sissors. I store my stamps in CD boxes and catalogue them, I have a recent post on my blog if you are interested in looking. Especially if you are starting out.
Have fun.

Hi there Am not keen on the stamp mounting either. Your desk looks like a very creative space.
Thanks for visiting my blog sorry to be so late getting back to you- had a very busy few days.
You asked about 'the fish and chip babies' now I'm not too good at links but here is the blog of the lady who had appealed for people to join in and make some outfits for said babies- hope this helps. Anne x

I'm loving your wide shot pic, lots of yummy bits and bobs to see and I really love a good snoop. I prefer Ezmount to kling on as well. I've completed putting all my stamps on mount it took me almost a year lol, still have some to stamp then put on laminated sheets, I am a good girl though any new stamps I mount them straight away. I'm intrigued whats the lego for!!! are you using it as a stamp? Happy woyww, sorry I'm late this week :-) Kezzy xxx
