Just for a change, I'm not going to show you my usual desk. This here is my other "other" desk. Not my proper work desk, at work. No. This is the "desk" in the lounge, next to the chair where I crochet and cross-stitch. You'll see there's a bauble lurking, waiting for me to start beading. And a couple of crocheted squares in funky colours....I'm using a random dyed wool at the moment. My coffee cup, empty at time of shot.
Just for good measure, here is an update on the cross-stitch. Slow progress, I'm afraid, but progress nonetheless.
The reason for not showing my normal desk? Trial runs of wedding stationery are on it and I'm keeping them under wraps.... heheheheh
As for the lack of spookiness - Lil Miss B is in Turkey with Real-Mum, and we're off to see Fields of the Nephilim tomorrow night, so won't be in for the trick or treaters..... mwahahahahahahah... instead, spookiness is provided by Carl McCoy!

Oh wow - real life Rock, can''t beat it...
I will email a proposal (oo err missis) regarding returning Sunnies, but it may involve sedating Mr D (improves his social skills) and leaving here on Weds and crashing on your guest bed???
maybe Sarah (Flo) can come over in her Onesie too?
ha ah ah ahhhhaa mwahh ahh
(yup I have filliped out) 'tis the excitement of 'going home' next week....
love the baby stiching - and I am 3/4 of the way round my bauble which will take pride of place one Weds...

Not a clue what Fiedls of Nephilim is, but no doubt you'll enjoy!! your chair side 'desk' is fab, and is that a blankie draped over the arm of the chair? I don't know how you do the beading or cross stitch in front of the telly, far too distracting, I can't imagine how complicated it is, but I. Know I'd need silence!!!
The baby cross stitch project is so pretty...so worth the effort.
xx
I am with Julia, WHAT??? Still, hope you enjoy yourselves... Love the cute cross stitch though. Happy Spooky WOYWW, Helen #4

Your x stitch is coming along beautifully. I've just picked mine up for the first time in ages. It's lovely to do in front of the telly isn't it.
Have a great night and Happy WOYWW

I see you are good with the beading - I don't think it is going very well for me! So wedding invites are being made - wish I was a fly on the wall! Enjoy the Nephili...thinge whatever it is!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian
Enjoy the gig, we went to see Alice Coopers Halloween Horrors gig last week- he was awesome! Love the cross stitch, by the way.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #86
You obviously don't cover every surface in your lounge like I do when I am crafting in front of the tv. Must post a pic sometime! x Jo
Have never heard of the band - but hope you have an amazing time anyway!! Will check out some diary dates...life is rather frenetic at the moment :) But meet up we must!
Love the cross stitch, it's very cute :)
Hugs, LLJ #68 xx
PLAN B
bad idea au retour-
will be sill oclock and both of us back to work at silly oclock the next day ( one of those hardly worth going to bed things)
I won't have the chestnut jam until backwards, so will plan a weekend trip-
ha ha ha - I think the only w/e I can do is the third in Dec ( w/e before christmas) - will wangle to swap my weds off for the friday - and come to you for fri evening and come home Saturday - Can that be a possibility or will you be just too close to the madness of festivitivities??
so exciting panning your wedding invites.... look forward to seeing what you come up with as i'm sure they'll be innovative. Love the baby cross stitch, so neat. I've started today teaching basic traditional skills to a group of 6th form textile students. Started with embroidery and some of them had never even threaded a needle before! good fun!

That chair looks way too comfy, I don't think I'd get anything done there I would be snoring! Hope you enjoyed the 'show' - never heard of it, sounds rather arty!! Happy WOYWW Cindy #66
Mmm beaded baubles like the sound of those I hope you show and tell when you have finished them. you are lucky to have so many spaces to craft I get moaned at when I spread out too much hee hee

Your cross stitching is beautiful. Crafting seems to happen all around my house, not just at my desk...so I can relate! Happy Halloweenie!
Great cross stitch. Hope you had fun last night too.

Love your crochet/cross stitch space ...and that chair.
What a lovely baby sampler. xx#101
Muti-crafting requires many desks!
I have one of those little 'desks'. Love the crochet.
Carol
Lovely cosy stitching nook there Diane, nice to have a little spot like that. I have a chair with really good light over it but have to share it with Andrew if he's in a reading mood! Love the little bear, far too intricate for my poor eyes!!
