WOYWW 121

I iz back.  And ready for another round of WOYWW courtesy of the Darling Mrs Dunnit - go visit if you haven't a clue what I'm on about....

LOL

Just a quickie from me cos I'm not supposed to spend too much time on the 'pooter, having successfully buggered up my wrist from cleaning too much in the house move.  Yup.  T'is true.

So here you have it - what THE new room currently looks like.  It's a work in progress, you know.

And just to prove to the Fabulous Ms D, see, there really is a bed in there.....  (Last time Madame Dunnit saw the room, it was a pile of boxes....)

The last three weeks have seen....

Me off work for two and a half of them.
19 of the 62 Chalet School stories read.
LLJ and I singing our hearts out with Marlborough Choral Society
The snake moving off of pinkies and onto fluffies.  Seriously.  And if you don't know what I mean, you don't want to be asking neither....
The cats slowly getting used to us, and gradually getting less scared of the dogs.  One of them will even tip toe past them to get to food now.  Provided they are asleep.
Lil Miss B getting herself grounded.  Twice.  And at the tender age of 11... what joys may yet be to come...
My mother visited.  She gardened.  She's 80.
The big red beast we call our MPV has died.  We don't yet know if it's resurrectable.  Worst case scenario - new car.  Medium case scenario - new gear box.  Hopeful scenario - Mr B can fix it with a twiddle or two.
Me and BT nearly coming to blows - they cancelled the cancel and then nearly didn't give us broadband back and when they did it was with the wrong number....... I could go on but I won't.
War being waged with the Wolf spiders.  Urgh.  I can cope with spiders, but not en masse and brandishing weapons...

So there you have it.

I will try to visit you all this week.....

Spiders. Ugh. I hate the way they sneak up on you....

And your mom sounds like a dynamo - 80 and gardening?

PS - is hate Pipex as much as it sounds you loathe BT. Some day t will be high speed broadband for all and no hassles. Well, I can hope, can't I?

What are these chalet stories you speak of? Time to check out amazon as I have only one more book in my queue and I'm finding it hard to get in to.

Have a great WOYWW.

And take a deep breath and relax!
I am still battling BT 6 months on from our move - promise one thing, give us something different then charge us to put it back where it should be - nuff said.
All you need is a big piece of something solid to put over the bed and instant indeterminate area for crafting ;)

Cor blinking blimmy hun. I am knackered reading all of that!! Firstly, rest the wrist, trust me, it will only get worse if you don't (and it is also a VERY good excuse for getting out of ironing and cleaning lol), train the cats to eat the spiders, get BT to sort it out otherwise you will send them said spiders and... then get a nice cuppa cwoffee and a biccie... sorted!

helloooo! :) just got your comment on my old geocaching post (can't believe that's the last one I did, I really ought to write up the rest of the year from Feb onwards, we've found loads since then! I did start writing up Feb-April ages ago, must dig out the old draft post, I think it just needs photos adding)

Glad to see you've started caching - fun isn't it :) - and you are so close to us, we must meet up! we could go out and find some together maybe?

As per your WOYWWW (did I get that right?) post...I must say I love your drawers :) oo-er!

Hope your wrist is better soon. Your post made me smile especially the sing along lyrics. When my DD was very young, I had to quit cranking 'Boom Boom Boom lets go back to my room' LOL Keep smiling and thanks for sharing

Calm down, calm down dear!! I prescribe a week away somewhere luxurious in return for all this!
I'd be in heaven sleeping in that bed and knowing that crafting was so near!

I feel exhausted just reading about your busy life, and all that with a bad wrist too. I have never read the Chalet School books, must have a look and see what is available on the Kindle. I keep bombarding Amazon to get the books I really want onto the Kindle. They put one of the series of books I wanted onto the kindle this month - all except the very first book in the series. How clever is that? Hope your wrist is soon fully recovered.

Apologies for being so late in visiting this week but I really wanted to pop in and see what you were up to last week. Spiders have been a bit of a common thread so far this week - don't like them near me either. I loved the Chalet School stories so envy you reading them all again. Do they seem dated now? Hopefully I will get around much quicker tomorrow. Elizabeth x #73
