I&...What an absolute pain about the threads, Morti. I'm afraid I never do things according to thread number - I have bags of reds, blues etc. and just rummage! I can see that for a sampler like that, you've got to have them exactly the same but I tend to get a bit more random. The Siren's Lament looks absolutely fiendishly difficult! I know I'd have gone wrong right from the start with that, with so many subtle colour changes. It's looking absolutely fabulous, though, and I'm so enjoying watching its progress. The border on the new sample (same as the previous one?) is so pretty - very Celtic.<br /><br />I know what you mean about Shaz. I am sure she wants us to continue as normal and I am also sure that she must be cross not to be able to join in at the moment! I have always used DMC threads specifically because the colour matching was always so good - but haven't had to buy any new threads recently, fortunately. Hope the two which arrive are the same as each other!!! Well done on your completed piece and the continued work on that enormous piece. As you say, hopefully that will grow quickly once you get to the solid colour. I am also playing cross stitch confetti with my piece for my grand daughter! One square here, one there, then don't try to put in any more until I have done a different colour - or three!!<br />Take care.
