I have the Ikea trolly, ( and a Hobby Craft one) thinking when I get back into crafting they will be great! only when hubby put up my slelves and work bench there was nowhere for them to go, so, one's in what was the airing cupboard, being very usefull and the other's in the sitting room coz I didn't have a small, tall table to put a lamp on. (they both have lids)They are both great...I could find a use for one in my potting shed too! Last time I did an X stitch and finished it....was... when I was five, didn't finish til I was 7..so kinda put me off!
Stay Safe! I did my first video the other day and putting the phone in a suitable place to record was very tricky. I love those trolleys, very useful. Not sure on this zoom thing coming up.. but will try it. I've no camera set up just an iPad. Hopefully that works... esp as its a mini!!
Love that cross stitch.. When we moved, I was fortunate enough to get a spare bedroom with a separated off dressing room, small and narrow, but just wide enough for my desk and other office stuff, leaving the main room free to be dedicated studio. It is fabulous and works very well. If you can manage to do both in one room you are cleverer than me lol! The sheet is a good idea for a neutral background for your Zoom sessions. I love your cactus cross stitch. I think satin stitch would have been out of place, and what you have done is much better. I've never mastered satin stitch and can never make it even. I love the shading, particularly on the pot. Most effective.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #17Shoshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00028185699225457125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24888188.post-50014685662679893232020-11-05T11:12:26.489+00:002020-11-05T11:12:26.489+00:00I have never heard of FlossTube. LOLOL Best of luck for your daughter at Uni! It has been the same for my daughter as well. They haven't offered a lot of her medical classes this term due to COVID, which really boggles my mind. It pushes their grad date, which can be depressing for them when they are really working hard to finish!! Again, best of luck there for her! I love your stitching, it's beautiful! Here's to hoping your room situations work out soon! Blessings for your week! Great idea with the IKEA trolley too- I finally got a similar one from Hobbycrafts, and was amazed by how much stuff I managed to clear off my desk, I ended up getting another, lol. Have no idea how I managed to get all that stuff on my desk, and still have room to work. Doug uses Teams for the IT courses he's tutoring, he's lucky as the company provides what they need, and his background is the wall behind him, complete with guitars! One of the other tutors asked him if he could take a screenshot of it, and use for his background, lol. Hope Liv's course gets back to normal soon for her, must be quite disheartening. Especially not knowing exactly how long it could be. The perils of having a multi tasking area. Well deon on contemplating doing some videos, I do admire you for doing that as it’s something I would run a mile from. I've just bought a fancy stand to do videos (maybe), it's much more stable than my previous contraption involving my camera tripod and a selfie stick (don't ask!) and we've already used it twice for family zooms, works much better. This is so sad for university students, literally seeing a very important part of their life slip away .... I do hope for all their sakes there is some kind of resolution soon. Nice crossstitch by the way, shame about your friend's wedding, so sad. Been AGES since I did any X-stitch, but I was never a fan of sating stitch - it's just hard to get it exactly right. I have to laugh at the various Zoom calls where the background is clearly carefully curated to send a message - especially books. No trashy novels on view, only deeply cerebral texts designed to impress. Yeah. Right. :D
Mary AnneMary Annehttp://scrappystickyinkymess.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
